The all-star watch lineup includes a stunning new Cosmograph Daytona.
In this year’s Watches and Wonders 2023, luxury watchmaker brand, Rolex, unveils bold new additions to its iconic watch families – with highlights from the all-new Perpetual 1908 collection, as well as introducing updates and variants to the Daytona, Yacht-Master, Oyster Perpetual, and Day-Date series to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Daytona watch. All these new watch versions were introduced with slightly updated cases and dials, along with a new movement.
For instance, the new Rolex Daytona watches still retain the customary 40mm case sizes, but the lugs are slightly wider and there are new light reflections on the lugs and case sides. Plus, the new watch includes Cerachrom bezels framed with rings in metal.
So, without further ado, here are a few of the eye-popping new releases from Rolex, which were announced and presented during the event, Watches & Wonders 2023.
ROLEX PERPETUAL COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA
The classic Rolex Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona is launched with an updated case and bold new colour combinations that highlight the contrast of the rings against the dial. Available in new versions including in 950 platinum, Oystersteel or yellow, or rose gold.
Paul Altieri, Founder and CEO of Bob’s Watches said, “The New Rolex Daytona with Redesigned Case and New Caliber 4131 looks virtually the same from the front and the open case back is cool,” and he continued, “Its Rolex retired the ever popular 116500L Cosmograph Daytona on its 60th Anniversary and replaced it with a new movement, case, and dial,”
ROLEX PERPETUAL 1908
The new perpetual 1908 models continue with that elegant, classic, and decidedly contemporary design, which characterises this heritage in the design. It features a slim case and fluted bezel, which makes an elegant foil for a sleek dial in intense white or black. The price for the new 39-mm timepiece Perpetual 1908 is $30,800.
The name “Perpetual” has been given to the model in homage to the year Hans Wilsdorf devised the name ‘Rolex’ to sign his creations and registered the brand in Switzerland.
ROLEX YACHT-MASTER 42
The new Rolex Yacht-Master 42 is one of the most stylish watches designed by Rolex in RLX titanium, an especially light and strong material. It also features a satin finish and visible grain, which add a distinctive texture.
The price for the new Yacht-Master 42, in RLX Titanium is $19,600.
ROLEX PERPETUAL SKY-DWELLER
This new watch release features a chic update, which includes a new case in 18ct white gold, paired with an Oysterflex bracelet. The watch has also got an annual calendar and comes with two new dial colours.
ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL GMT-MASTER II
This new Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II is available in two new versions: yellow Rolesor, Oystersteel and yellow gold; and another in full metal. These two versions guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100m.
ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL EXPLORER 40
This new Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer 40 measures in at 40mm. There are some aspects which makes this watch stay faithful to the original, including the black lacquer dial and 3, 6 and 9 numerals. They come with a Chromalight display emitting the distinctive blue glow.
ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL DAY-DATE 36
The new Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36 celebrates the beauty of stones as the new versions feature dials in green aventurine, carnelian and a turquoise dial embellished with natural veining. The bezel set also features 52 brilliant-cut diamonds.
