This standout Touring model stands out, while still staying true to the original spirit.

Porsche unveils its latest sophisticated version of the iconic, track-hungry 911 GT3, which definitely stands apart first by shedding its humongous wings, which come in all shapes and sizes. The downforce-blessing wing of the 911 GT3 is massive enough to get noticed.

In 2017, the 991.2 GT3 arrived as the carmaker company recognized a serious market for people who wanted a luxury vehicle without a dramatic performance bit.

For 2023, Porsche has decided to solidify its teardrop-shaped silhouette of the 911 as the Touring model by stripping the swan neck off the rear, which streamlines the look and highlights the pure essence of the 911’s classic design.

Today, the Porsche 911 GT3 stands out, while still staying true to the original spirit and heritage that has come to define the 911 family.

“The innate preserve of the 911 GT3 with Touring Package is the open road – ideally a terrain full of challenging bends. With a performance of 375kW (510PS) and a 4.0-litre six-cylinder horizontally opposed high-speed naturally aspirated engine, it sets a sporty tone. It will not be instantly recognisable to everyone on the road. But that is precisely what increases its puristic appeal. And the experience of driving it.” – From Porsche.

“Carpe diem, they say – seize the day. But we are Porsche. And so our motto for the new 911 GT3 models is: carpe secundum – get the most out of every second. We know that your time is precious. And every minute in the cockpit is valuable. So, we have once again intensified everything that makes a sports car: performance, tuning, aerodynamics. Time flies. This is your time. Hop in.” – From Porsche.

The front end of the 911 GT3 Touring features a low splitter flanked by aggressive air intakes, and nostrils cut deeply into the lid. Both the Touring and GT3 have also got the same centre-locking 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. The exterior features a carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic hood, which covers the six-cylinder engine. Inside the car, the Touring features more details: finer perforated leather on contact surfaces, while many carbon fibres and Alcantara elements have been replaced by more refined brushed aluminium.

With their identical 4.0-litre boxer, the car makes 502 horsepower (it does everything it’s supposed to). A separate throttle combined with a revised exhaust keeps the tachometer spinning high into the red. Anywhere close to the limit, the car sucks you into your seat while driving and dares to explode again.

Peak power and torque peak at 8,400 rpm and 6,100 rpm, respectively, and the near-raw powertrain comes quickly, with wild exhaust notes along the way.

The driving experience of the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring goes beyond its impressive powertrain in some aspects. For example, the chassis plays a crucial role in delivering an exhilarating experience. Of course, the suspension also undermines the refined intentions of the Touring model.

However, the GT3 Touring has proven it can conquer racetracks and take business meetings with ease. Its characteristics enhance the GT3 Touring’s personality, and the vehicle is stunningly comfortable, especially on smooth pavement. The Porsche GT3 Touring definitely strikes a balance between racing performance and everyday practicality, making it the perfect choice for driving enthusiasts, as the suspension remains unchanged from the GT3.
