The world’s most beautiful electric powerboat makes waves with its striking design and sustainable edge. This isn’t just boating—it’s an experience.
Riva’s legendary seafaring elegance just got a jolt of electricity. With a fusion of luxury, craftsmanship, and forward-thinking technology, Riva’s new El-Iseo marks a bold move into the electric future of boating.
Riva’s boats have long been icons of Italian glamour, and the Aquarama’s legacy as a 1960s classic runabout has inspired Riva’s latest masterpiece, the El-Iseo. This all-electric 27-foot vessel takes cues from its predecessors while embracing contemporary technology and sustainability. The design—an inspired blend of sleek mahogany, polished stainless steel, and a mesmerizing California Sky Blue hull—perfectly balances Riva’s vintage charm with a modern edge.
The El-Iseo’s design team, led by Officina Italiana Design founders Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, collaborated with the engineers at Ferretti Group (Riva’s parent company since 2000) and Piero Ferrari, Ferrari’s Vice Chairman and son of Enzo Ferrari. The outcome is the “world’s most beautiful electric boat,” a fitting debut in Riva’s e-Luxury segment. Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi highlights this accomplishment: “Riva El-Iseo isn’t only the world’s most beautiful full-electric powerboat but also proof that investing in research and development opens up new paths to sustainability.”
Under the deck lies the Parker GVM310 electric motor, replacing the previous Volvo Penta V8s with 250 kW of pure electric power. This advanced propulsion system, combined with a modified Mercury Racing Bravo X3R sterndrive, achieves exhilarating speed and smooth handling. Riva claims that the El-Iseo offers an unmatched boating experience, with a cruising speed of 25 knots and a top speed of 40 knots—more than enough for thrilling outings along the Mediterranean or anywhere else.
Battery technology is where the El-Iseo truly shines. Developed by Podium Advanced Technologies, the liquid-cooled and sealed 150 kWh 800-V batteries enhance performance and longevity compared to standard lead-acid models. Charging from 20% to 80% in just 75 minutes, these batteries enable hours of cruising, perfect for a day out on the water.
Riva offers three driving modes for tailored cruising experiences. In Adagio mode, the boat reaches a serene 5 knots with minimized power consumption, offering up to 10 hours of cruising. Andante mode is ideal for leisurely rides, achieving a top speed of 25 knots. Allegro mode is the sport setting, unlocking the boat’s full power with electrifying acceleration up to 40 knots. Each mode offers a unique experience of the El-Iseo, from laid-back cruising to spirited rides that redefine sustainable luxury.
The Riva El-Iseo isn’t just a glimpse into the future of luxury powerboating; it’s a testament to how classic design and cutting-edge technology can come together to make waves.
