Riva Unveils the Revamped Iseo Super: A Sleek and Stylish Update

Riva, the legendary Italian boatbuilder, has given its entry-level motorboat, the Iseo Super, a striking revamp that enhances both aesthetics and performance. Designed for “lovers of low-key lake sailing,” as described by chief designer Mauro Micheli, this luxury vessel stays true to Riva’s heritage while introducing modern refinements that elevate the experience on the water.

One of the most defining characteristics of the Iseo Super is its exquisite mahogany woodwork, meticulously treated with 24 coats of varnish to achieve Riva’s signature high-gloss finish. Complementing this traditional craftsmanship are steel detailing on the side grilles and the brand’s iconic aquamarine waterline, ensuring that the boat remains an unmistakable Riva creation.

A key design update comes in the form of a revamped windscreen featuring more counter-curvature, a signature element of recent Riva models. This not only enhances the boat’s visual appeal but also gives it a more dynamic and aggressive stance.

Stepping into the cockpit, owners will find a newly designed dinette and an elegant U-shaped sofa, upholstered in premium Sky fabric and color-coordinated with the hull. Functionality has been thoughtfully integrated, with an electric hideaway up-down table embedded in one seat and a concealed storage area in another, maximizing space without compromising style.

At the helm, Riva has embraced digital innovation. A 9-inch Volvo Penta chartplotter navigation unit is now standard, positioned between a storage compartment equipped with a USB port, SD reader, and sound system control panel. For those seeking even more advanced instrumentation, a 12-inch Boning screen is available as an option. A drawer fridge beneath the storage compartment ensures that refreshments stay chilled for long, leisurely cruises.

The Iseo Super maintains a traditional sterndrive propulsion system, enhanced with a hydraulic gearbox that minimizes noise by eliminating abrupt gear changes. The standard powertrain features a Volvo Penta D4-300A diesel engine delivering 300 horsepower at 3,500 rpm, achieving a cruising speed of 33 knots (38 mph) and a top speed of 38 knots (44 mph).

For those seeking more power, two optional gasoline engines are available. The first is a 355-hp Volvo Penta V8 350 CE paired with a high-performance DP-S duoprop sterndrive, increasing speeds to 36 knots (41 mph) cruising and 41 knots (47 mph) maximum. The second option, a 305-hp Volvo Penta V8, matches the diesel engine’s performance while providing an alternative fuel choice.

To enhance stability, Riva has integrated autotrim control for the sterndrive engine, along with a Zipwake interceptor system for trim correction, ensuring a smoother ride in various conditions.

While Riva has not officially disclosed pricing for the Iseo Super, prospective buyers can expect to invest north of $300,000 for this refined and elegant motorboat. Additional details and customization options are available through Riva’s official website, catering to discerning clients seeking the perfect balance of tradition, luxury, and cutting-edge technology.

With its enhanced design, refined cockpit, and powerful performance options, the Riva Iseo Super stands as a testament to the brand’s commitment to excellence, proving that even an entry-level model can exude top-tier sophistication and craftsmanship.
