Lamborghini Unveils Stunning Off-Roading Huracan Sterrato

Meet the Huracan Sterrato, the company’s first off-road-capable sports car.

Lamborghini is launching an incredible off-road version of the Huracan. It’s called The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato at Miami’s Art Basel on November 20. The sports car is expected to be the last fully combustion-powered Lamborghini supercar ever and it will be the world’s first all-terrain supercar. The Sterrato is described as providing a super sports car driving experience even “away from the asphalt on loose or dirt surfaces.”

The first Sterrato version was released back in 2019 with an off-road-focused concept car. It featured a 5.2-litre aspirated V10 engine producing 470Kw. In 2019, Lamborghini’s Vice President of Motorsport, Maurizio Reggiani expressed, “The Huracan Sterrato illustrates Lamborghini’s commitment to being a future shaper: a super sports car with off-road capabilities, the Sterrato demonstrates the Huracán’s versability and opens the door to yet another benchmark of driving emotion and performance.” Then, he added, “Lamborghini’s R&D and design teams are constantly exploring new opportunities and delivering the unexpected as a core characteristic of our DNA, challenging possibilities while inspired by Lamborghini brand heritage.”

This time, the company is thinking on retaining much of the prototype’s tough styling. Similarly to the recently unveiled Porsche 911 Dakar edition, this new “Sterrato” will not feature roof-mounted lights. However, it will include a large central air intake, taking inspiration from the Huracan STO.

The new photos released by the company gave us a glimpse into this new sports car. We can see roof racks, and underbody protection. Although, those features have not been confirmed yet. What it is already known is that the Sterrato version will likely be all-wheel drive.

The car will feature its formidable V10 engine and off-roading sensibility to the car with plenty of necessary adjustments. It will also feature a ride height increase, and a serrated undercarriage for better ground clearance. Plenty of rough-and-ready add-ons, front LED lamps, roof racks, and lightly-revised aerodynamics are also expected to be featured.

As regards the read section, it will be as similar to Lamborghini’s recently released Huracan Technica, sporting a read-end set-up with twin pipes. In addition to this, the car is expected to have a roof scoop in the form of the STO.

Lamborghini

“Automobili Lamborghini is about to present the new Huracan Sterrato: the first super sports car designed for maximum driving pleasure even away from the asphalt on loose or dirt surfaces, reinterpreting the very concept of sportiness and emphasizing the brand principles of brave, authentic and unexpected.”

Very little is known about the new “Sterrato” sports car. More details are expected to be released when Sterrato debuts at Art Basel in Miami on November 30.
