Power comes from Ford’s proven 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, the same powerplant found in the high-performance Bronco Raptor. Built on a rugged high-strength steel ladder frame, the Bronco Filson arrives equipped with Ford’s highly respected Sasquatch Package as standard equipment.
For off-road enthusiasts, that means serious hardware.
The package includes front and rear electronic locking differentials, advanced Fox shocks featuring internal bypass technology, and aggressive 35-inch rugged-terrain tires designed to deliver exceptional grip on trails while minimizing road noise during highway driving.
Whether navigating rocky mountain passes, muddy forest roads, sandy dunes, or snow-covered trails, the Bronco Filson is engineered to handle virtually any challenge.
Helping drivers make the most of the vehicle’s capabilities is Ford’s Terrain Management System, which includes seven selectable G.O.A.T. Modes—a fitting acronym for “Goes Over Any Type of Terrain.” These settings allow the SUV to adapt to varying conditions with specialized calibrations for everything from rock crawling to high-speed desert running.

“If you’re hesitating because you’re afraid to get the cabin dirty, it doesn’t belong in a Bronco,” said Ford SUV Design Director Paul Wraith.

The materials are designed to age gracefully, developing character over time rather than showing wear. Muddy boots, fishing trips, camping weekends, and long overlanding adventures are not threats to the Bronco Filson—they’re part of its intended lifestyle.
Perhaps the most distinctive interior feature is a set of removable, water-resistant saddlebags integrated into the doors and cargo area. These storage solutions offer practical space for everything from fly-fishing equipment and camera gear to hiking essentials and travel accessories.
It’s a small detail, but one that reflects the collaboration’s emphasis on real-world functionality.
Ford has also focused on improving comfort for everyday use. Engineers have reportedly reduced cabin wind noise by nearly 20 percent compared to previous Bronco models, addressing one of the few criticisms often directed at rugged body-on-frame SUVs.
Additional premium features include ventilated front seats, a digital rearview mirror that maintains visibility even when the cargo area is fully loaded, and power-deploying running boards that make entering and exiting the vehicle easier.
The exterior design remains unmistakably Bronco, but receives several exclusive touches that distinguish the Filson edition from the rest of the lineup.
A limited-production First Edition model will feature a unique Iron Sands Copper Metallic finish, exclusive fender badging, and a serialized plaque on the center console. Additional color choices will include Field Green Metallic and Marsh Gray, both inspired by natural outdoor landscapes.
The palette feels perfectly aligned with Filson’s aesthetic, favoring earthy tones over flashy colors.
For Ford, the Bronco Filson arrives at a time when outdoor recreation, overlanding, and adventure travel continue to grow in popularity. Buyers increasingly want vehicles that support an active lifestyle while offering comfort, technology, and premium craftsmanship.
