One can find it hard to believe, but this car comes with six exhaust tips. The swanky new Bugatti La Voiture Noire comes with radical wheels, the fascia is bespoke, and the badge at the backlights up to spell the name of the brand, making it evidently Bugatti. La Voiture Noire is a tribute to the history of the legendary Bugatti. It stands for sophistication and elegance. It brings speed, aesthetics, luxury, and technology and is nothing short of an icon. This all-black Atlantic is priced at$19 million, making it “the most expensive new car of all time”. But what makes it so valuable?
The most expensive car in the world La Voiture Noire – French for “the black car” – is a unique supercar made from carbon fibre. The design of the Noire is a modern take on the Type 57 SC Atlantic from the 1930s.
The car was designed to look like a modern-day marvel, but with the DNA of the original still visibly ingrained in it. The car also takes its design cues from the Bugatti Chiron.

“Bugatti is bringing the speed, technology, luxury and esthetics of an icon into a new era. But the customized creation of La Voiture Noire is far more the gran turismo. La Voiture Noire is a tribute to BUGATTI’s own history, a manifesto of the BUGATTI aesthetic and a piece of automotive haute couture.” Posted the brand on its official website.

As you may know, the Bugatti La Voiture Noire is inspired by the legendary Type 57 SC Atlantic. The elegant lines of the classic have been reimagined on this one-off. The black exterior makes it difficult to spot every design detail on the car, but its sheer presence on the road is unmistakable, especially at night.

Moreover, the supercar boasts a 16-cylinder engine housed inside a sculptural body crafted from carbon fibre, with an extended front and the signature Bugatti C-line that separates the driver and passenger seats.
The bumpers are smoothly integrated into the body and the windscreen seems to flow seamlessly into the windows at the sides in the manner of a visor on a helmet.
“Every single component has been handcrafted and the carbon fibre body has a deep black gloss only interrupted by the ultra-fine fibre structure. This is a material that has been handled perfectly,” said designer Etienne Salomé.
