A new line, which proposes different versions made in different materials: Titanium and gold.

Hublot unveils its latest Spirit of Big Bang Bleu watches collection in collaboration with renowned tattoo artist, Maxime Plescia-Buchi, who has previously collaborated with the Swiss maison on two watches presented in different variants. This time, he reinterprets a model launched in 2014, the Hublot Spirit of Big Bang.
Hublot & Maxime Pleschia Buchi

Maxime Pleschia Buchi is the founder of the San Bleu creative studio. His collaboration and partnership date to 2016 when the two decided to start what has turned out to be a lasting collaboration to unite the world of tattoos with haute horology. For the third collaboration, Hublot and Maxime Plescia-Buchi has decided to reinterpret the three-dimensional style that characterizes the previous two collections and apply it to the model launched in 2014 by the Maison, the Spirit of Big Bang.
Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe had the following to say about this new collaboration:
“This third collaboration sees Maxime infuse the watch with a new energy but without changing its soul, thus creating the Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu III. He accomplished this transformation by taking the concepts of the first two Big Bang Sang Bleu models and reinterpreting the lines of the Spirit of Big Bang. This third collaboration thus takes on a new identity without losing the distinctive features of the tonneau style: the design now plays with space in the almost architectural dimension conferred by Sang Bleu’s typical geometries and symmetries.”
Hublot’s Spirit of Big Bang Collection

The Spirit of Big Bang collection features barrel-shaped cases, which is Buchi’s latest non-human canvas.
All the watches feature “geometric tattoos” that alternate and overlap the case. The case back features a riff on Maxime’s original Big Bang design, which was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man.
The Spirit of Big Bang collection also features three different versions made from three different materials (42 mm diameter case): 200 examples in titanium, 200 all-black titanium, and 100 in gold material. In addition to this, there are two materials expected to be implemented in two kind-of-watches: one gold and one titanium watch each set with 180 diamonds (about 2.4 carats’ worth). The central piece is 3D-diamond firmed by several layered triangle and pyramid shapes. The automatic skeleton chronograph movement HUB4700 is displayed by a sapphire dial also through disc hands bearing more geometric patterns.

“The aim is to incorporate the DNA of the Big Bang Sang Bleu II into the Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu,” Buchi said. “The result is a similar geometric aesthetic with a new interpretation of shapes and volumes. This creation is guided by perfectly proportioned shapes that interact and overlap to create a unique, distinctive design while enhancing the ergonomics for the wearer.”
