Discover the new Irish whiskey blended with American Rye whiskey combined with the unique equalities of Irish gain and single pot. It delivers a nuanced herbal character that balances the vibrant and robust Rye.

Minnesota-based O’Shaugnessy Distilling Company showcased the best of American and Irish whiskeys titled “Keeper’s Heart”, which is an attempt to fuse two very different worlds of whiskey – Irish and American – into something never really seen (or tasted) before.
Specifically, this new whiskey is composed of the following: triple distilled pot whiskey from Ireland aged for at least four years in bourdon barrels, Irish grain whiskey also aged for a minimum of four years in in bourdon barrels and American 95 percent rye whiskey aged in new charred oak.
For Keeper’s Heart, the company combined the unique qualities of Irish grain and pot still whiskeys with American Rye whiskey for a particularly easy drinking libation. Irish whiskey notes of baking spices blend beautifully with American whiskey’s sweetness and oak to create a whiskey with notes of candied ginger, lemon zest, sweet biscuits and rich, stewed fruit. It’s creamy and smooth yet bold and spicy in just the right way. To put it simply, it’s a go-to for any occasion—equally excellent neat, on the rocks or within a cocktail.

“Keeper’s Heart is created to celebrate and unlock the moments worth keeping. Made with pride and a keen eye for time-tested quality, our whiskey is inspired by our family journey. Bringing together our Irish and American heritage and distilling tradition, we create whiskeys that are truly remarkable.” Shared the brand on its official website.

“To be involved in a team that is creating a new whiskey, a new taste profile, a blending of American and Irish whiskey … that really excites me,” said Nation. He’s collaborating with David Perkins, founder of High West Distillery and a titan in the field of American whiskey. By marrying the best of both countries’ distilling traditions, they created a new and unique style of whiskey that has people clamoring to get a taste.
David Perkins, the founder of Utah’s High West distillery, and who’s now on board at O’Shaughnessy as a Liquid Collaborator and Advisor, added: “All those components together, it’s unbelievable how good it became. And it’s unbelievable how some of the original prototypes weren’t so good.”
