Harley-Davidson and On The Roam by Jason Momoa have collaborated with renowned leather outfitter, The Real McCoy’s, to revive a vintage motorcycle jacket style with the release of the new Buco D-pocket “Cycle Champ.”
This iconic design, which has undergone various style transformations from the 1940s to the 1960s, pays homage to its earliest iteration here. Meticulously crafted by The Real McCoy’s team of skilled artisans, the rugged leather jacket is made from premium vegetable-tanned horsehide and features authentic details reminiscent of the era, such as custom brass studs and Harley’s distinctive D-pocket. To add an extra touch of style, the jacket is lined with a vibrant red satin fabric and adorned with a special limited-edition badge.
Jason Momoa, widely recognized as the muscular star of the Aquaman film franchise and the fierce Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones, is not only a dedicated Harley enthusiast but also an avid collector of vintage bikes from the 1930s and 1940s. Resurrecting a classic motorcycle jacket perfectly aligns with his appreciation for all things old-school.
Pictures captured by the New York Post show the 44-year-old actor sporting the jacket as he rode one of his vintage Harleys through downtown Manhattan earlier this week. This was just a few days before Momoa’s highly anticipated hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, promoting his latest movie, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Momoa announced his collaboration with Harley through On The Roam in a statement issued by the motorcycle brand last July. In this statement, Momoa expressed his deep admiration for Harley-Davidson and shared his vision for the “On The Roam” collection, which celebrates the company’s 120-year history. The collection aims to embrace the spirit of adventure, empowering individuals to create their own stories and experience the freedom of exploration in the wild.
Aside from the Buco D-pocket “Cycle Champ” jacket, the “On The Roam” collection includes other travel-ready pieces such as workwear-inspired cargo pants, t-shirts, and tank tops.
