New aesthetic enhancements, inside and out, have been applied to both the standard and extended-wheelbase versions of the model.

In 2003, Rolls-Royce reinvented itself with the new Phantom VII. The car was received with great fanfare by seasoned owners and a whole new generation of US buyers when it hit stateside shores in 2004. It was succeeded by the Phantom VIII in 2017, looking “similar-from-a-distance” but on an entirely new aluminium platform that set the stage for every Rolls-Royce to follow.

Phantom VIII now enters a new second phase of its life due to Phantom Series III’s update. According to Torsten Müller-Ötvös, chief executive officer of Rolls-Royce MotorCars, the Series II is the “new expression” of Rolls-Royce’s ultimate model. It reflects the input of owners who requested visual and aesthetic enhancements, but with a “light touch” that would preserve the commanding presence of the Phantom VIII.

The exterior’s trim and now-illuminated Pantheon Grille are available in darkened chrome.

Standard-wheelbase and extended-wheelbase models get these upgrades. At the front, the luxury car is now equipped with a top bar that connects between the LED DRLs. The front fascia is flanked by a glowing dark chrome Pantheon grille and revised headlights with laser-cut star lamps. Additionally, the 2023 Roll-Royce Phantom Series II features retro-style alloy wheels similar to the disc wheels of the 1920s. Customers can choose from wheelsets including stainless steel, machined and 3D wheels with triangular faces.

The headlamps now feature intricate laser-cut bezel starlights. Moreover, the car’s silhouette maintains the formal proportions of every Phantom from the beginning. It emphasizes overhangs that are short in front and long at the rear, with a long wheelbase in between. In addition to this, the high shoulder line and wide C-pillar afford privacy for rear-seat occupants.

In terms of functionality, the Phantom Series II now gets Rolls-Royce Connected Car technology, which aids in navigation, displays safety status, current Whispers ‘health’ and more.

The2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II is the same 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 563 hp and 900 Nm of torque at 1,700 rpm. This engine is paired with an eight-speed transmission. In addition to this, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds.
