The motorcycle becomes truly intimidating with its striking “Black on Black” livery.

Ducati Red has cemented its position as an iconic motorsport colour, so much so that the Italian brand has named its travelling demo program “Ready 4 Red 2023.” The flagship superbike, the Panigale V4, is only available in a predominantly Ducati Red scheme, except for the Panigale V4 SP2 variant, specifically designed for track use.
For almost 45 years, Ducati had been using L-Twin engines until it introduced the new Desmosedici Stradale V4 platform in 2018 as its flagship engine. Despite replacing the existing 1299 twin with the new MotoGP-derived four-cylinder motor, Ducati decided to keep producing an L-Twin version of its current superbike platform, now known as the Panigale V2. The Panigale V2 was initially launched in 2020, and now, for the 2024 model year, it is being updated with new features.
The 2024 model year Panigale V2 is built with Ducati’s advanced monocoque frame and powered by the brand’s 955cc Superquadro twin-cylinder engine. The engine is equipped with modern electronics such as engine braking, traction, and wheelie control, which help it deliver an impressive 155hp and 76.7ft-lbs of torque at 10,750rpm and 9,000rpm, respectively.

As expected from Ducati, this superbike also features high-end, track-focused suspension and brakes. Additionally, it is equipped with lightweight five-arm Y-spoke forged wheels with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tires that offer excellent grip.
Like the Panigale V4, the latest V2 model is available with various optional exhaust upgrades. All these options retain the V2’s single-sided swing-arm and rear-wheel design.

The 2024 Panigale V2 features the same bodywork as Ducati’s flagship superbike but without the winglets and aero kit found on the V4 model. The Panigale V2’s bodywork has undergone a significant update for the latest model year, with the introduction of a new black-on-black livery that is similar to the one previously available on the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S. The blacked-out livery has a matte finish offset by red wheel graphics, “Ducati” and “Panigale” logos in red, and glossy black “V2” logos. Although it is just a paint job, this new black-on-black livery enhances the already stunning appearance of what is arguably the most attractive superbike on the market, which is no small feat.

Starting at $18,295, the Panigale V2 allows you to acquire the new Black-on-Black livery for an additional $300, available at dealerships starting in the latter half of 2023.
